      In incredible fashion and display at the World Junior Table Tennis Championships final, Koki Niwa dispatched Lin Gaoyuan by 4 games to 2!

      In the opening set Lin destroyed Niwa 11-3. It looked like it was going to be a Chinese victory similar to the team victory last week. However, Niwa fought back in the second set to win 11-6. The third game was a lot closer and Lin managed to win vital points to secure a 11-7 set win. Niwa once again levelled and Koki Niwa took the match in his stride from then on to win final set 11-9 with a superb forehand winner down the line!

        K. Niwa won because his game stayed very closed to the table with very short strokes and cut Robinot reaction time which pushed the French to play mid distance but had to cover much more playing area. But luckily Robinot is very comfortable playing far away top spinning the ball. 4-3 very close game!

        Can't wait to see these two players maturing and play in the men division!

        seen koki niwa as a 15 year old at the english open 2009,, instantly left an impression that here was a star...what a player,win or lose he is a genius to watch... now he s junior world champ.... brilliant..

        Hope he could stay in top table tennis.
        He need to grow bigger and stronger to compete with the likes of Ma Long, Xu Xin and Zhang Jike.

        Maybe in his last 3~ years of growth he suddenly go boost
