Joo Se Hyuk was taken to he wire in the last 32 round of the Qatar Open today as in form Kirill Skachkov raced into a 3-1 lead over the Worlds best chopper. However, Joo somehow found inspiration and form to force Kirill to produce repeated unforced errors. Joo Se Hyuk defeated Kirill Skachkov by 4 games to 3 with scores 9-11, 11-2, 10-12, 6-11, 11-7, 11-2, 11-4. Kirill is in fine form lately having reached the final of last weeks European Top 12!

Another spectacular match that took place was between Slovenia's Bojan Tokic vs Germany's Patrick Franziska. The match went to 7 sets with Franziska just taking the last set in an epic battle (9-11, 6-11, 14-12, 11-8, 11-5, 3-11, 12-10). Patrick progresses to the last 16 to face Chaung Chih-Yuan. Could we see a upset there?

A huge upset repeated itself for the Korean team as Oh Sang Eun lost to Hong Kong's Jiang Tianyi. Oh took a fantastic 2-0 lead however Jiang stepped up his game to win the next 4 in a row with scores 15-13, 11-1, 11-5 and 15-13.
