Wang Hao progresses through to the semi finals of the Qatar Open! (VIDEO)

Number 1 seed Wang Hao defeats Lee Jung Woo of Korea to secure himself a place in the semi final of the Qatar Open World Tour 2012. China's Wang Hao defeats Lee Jung Woo of Korea by 4 games to 2 with scores: 12-10,9-11,8-11,11-5,11-7,11-9,

Lee Jung Woo took off to a flying start taking a 2 sets to 1 lead over Wang Hao. Lee was using his tremendous footwork to his advantage winning many points with his strong forehand attack. Lee Jung Woo playing with similar characteristics to team mate Ryu Seung Min used his lighting footwork to give himself an incredible advantage over Wang Hao! Lee made some fantastic blocks with his quick reactions to keep him in the rally, and from there the Korean would turn his defensive skills into attack.

However determined Wang Hao won the next 2 sets to take a 3-2 lead making very few mistakes. Now Wang Hao was in the driving seat with the Chinese star disposing Lee Jung Woo's wide forehand on many occasions. This forced Lee to take a step away from the table which allowed Wang to pick his shots to win the rally. A few unforced errors at 9-9 in the sixth set gave Wang Hao the victory!


Wang Hao will now play the winner of Patrick Franziska and Joo Se Hyuk in tomorrows semi finals!
