Today saw the Kuwait Open World Tour 2012 round of 64 and 32 take place. The most noticeable defeat in the first round of the Men's Singles was the knockout of Jorgen Persson. Egyptian Ahmed Ali Saleh defeated Jorgen Persson in an sensational win by 4 games to 2 with scores: 8-11, 9-11, 11-8, 8-11, 11-4, 11-8, and 11-9.
Ahmed Ali Saleh maintained his incredible performance and earned himself a place in the last 16 as he defeated former World number 1 Jean-Michel Saive 7-11, 13-11, 13-11, 11-9, and 11-8.
