China meet Chinese Taipei and Japan face Korea at the Asian Championships 2012

The Asian Championships 2012 has took off the a flying start! This spectacular championships held in Macao, China is now in day 2 with the quarter final results of the Men's team now in! The number 1 seed of the team event, China, which includes World number 1 Ma Long, Zhang Jike, Wang Hao, Xu Xin and Ma Lin have progressed to the semi finals stages as expected. China have dominated the Asian Championships for many years with the Chinese Mens team having won the championships since 1998 with six consecutive team titles!

Quarter Final Matches

China vs North Korea

China had no toruble in the quarter final stage and will play in tomorrows semifinals of the Men's team event.

China's Ma Long defeated Kim Hyuk Bong 3-0 with scores 11-9, 11-3 and 11-4
China's Zhang Jike defeated Kim Song Nam 3-1 with scores 5-11, 11-9, 11-8 and 11-5
China's Xu Xin defeated Jang Song Man 3-0 with scores 11-9, 11-6 and 11-6

South Korea vs Hong Kong

A very close round with South Korea just progressing through to the semi final stage defeating Hong Kong 3-2.

Korea Republic's Seo Hyuk Deok defeated Jiang Tianyi 3-1 with scores 12-10, 8-11, 11-6 and 11-6
Korea Republic's Kim Min Seok defeated Liang Zhu'en 3-0 with scores 11-4, 11-4, and 11-5
Hong Kong's Tang Peng defeated Lee Jung Woo 3-0 with scores 11-4, 11-8 and 11-5
Hong Kong's Jiang Tianyi defeated Kim Min Seok 3-2 with scores 11-9, 12-14, 11-9, 9-11 and 11-4
Korea Republic's Seo Hyun Deok defeated Liang Zhu'en 3-0 with scores: 11-8, 13-11, and 11-6

In the two other quarter finals at the Asian Championships 2012, Japan urged through into the semi final stages defeating Singapore by 3 games to nil. In the final quarter final stage Chinese Tapai defeated India in a close 3 games to 2 win!

Semi Final Stages
