The Chinese National men's team win the 20th Asian Championships in superb style! China in formidable form as they dispose determined Japan by three matches to nil.
In the opening match World number 2 Zhang Jike stepped into the arena against Japan's Koki Niwa. Koki fought well as he won the first set against Zhang 11-9. However, Zhang stepped his game up a notch and won the next 3 sets 11-8, 11-7 and 11-8.
In the second match of the men's team final, reigning Olympic champion Ma Lin faced in form Jun Mizutani. The match was very close and either set could have been won by either player, however on the day Ma Lin clinched all 3 sets to win with scores 11-9, 14-12, 12-10. China were now in a 2-0 lead over Japan.
If things couldn't get any more difficult for Japan, World number 1 Ma Long walked into the arena. Ma Long faced Japan's Kenta Matsudaira. The first set was very close with Kenta producing some fine attacking shots, although the World number 1 snatched the set 15-13. After the first set, Ma Long reduced his unforced errors and Kenta began to miss. Ma Long won the next two sets 11-4 and 11-6 to give China the victory!
