Guo Yan crowned Women Singles Champion at the Asian Championships 2012

Today on the 29th February 2012 at the Asian Championships, China's Guo Yan became the Womens Singles Champion as she over overcome compatriot World number four Li Xiaoxia by four games to one with scores: 11-6, 9-11, 13-11, 12-10, 11-9

In the final Guo Yan maintained her form as she disposed compatriot Liu Shiwen earlier on in the semi final stages. In the other semi final Li Xiaoxia defeated World Champion and defending Asian Champion Ding Ning!

The final was full of great rhythm as both players stood their authority and displayed high quality table tennis for the audience in Macau, China. However, on the day Guo Yan dominated the critical important points and won her third title at the Asian Championships 2012!

This is Guo Yan's third title at the Asian Championships as the World number three won the Women's Team Championships and Women's mixed doubles with Stiga's Xu Xin. Guo Yan could possibly win four titles as she is through to the quarter finals with Ding Ning in the Women's doubles!
