Bastian Steger winner of the 2011 German National Championships defends his Men's singles title at last weekends German National Championships on the 4th March 2012! Bastian in fine form defeated World number 10 Dimitrij Ovtcharov in the Men's Singles final by four games to three with scores: 3-11, 9-11, 14-12, 13-11, 7-11, 11-8, 11-7.

Bastian Steger had double success in the German Championships as he not only won the singles event, but also in the doubles event. Bastian paired up with Lars Hielscher where they defeated Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Patrick Baum by four games to two.
