Former European Champion and Table Tennis icon Michael Maze once again proves why he is still one of the best European players in the World. Yesterday on the 17th March 2012 Michael Maze progressed UMMC into the European Champions League final in an epic win over Germany's Bastian Steger by 3 games to 0! Maze has been struggling with injuries over the last few years since his major title win at the European Table Tennis Singles Championships 2009. However, Michael is slowly coming back together and is preparing for the World Team Table Tennis Championships in Dortmund this month and the London 2012 Olympics. Things seem to be coming back together for the mighty Danish Champion!

In the first leg of the European Champions League semi final UMMC lost to Saarbrucken in three straight matches. In the second leg, Saarbrucken only needed one match win to book a place into the European Champions League final. However, Michael Maze and his team of determined individuals showed sheer grit and determination to defeat their opponents in three games progressing UMMC them into the final!
