The biggest upset was caused today at the World Team Table Tennis Championships on the 26th March 2012. Poland's Daniel Gorak, Robert Floras and Bartosz Such defeated Japan's Koki Niwa, Seiya Kishikawa and Maharu Yoshimura in an epic showdown by three matches to one!

In the opening match Koki Niwa displayed excellent control over Poland's Daniel Gorak. Koki gained advantage of the rally as quick as he could to win the first set 11-4. In he second set, Daniel competed and levelled at 12-12. However Koki made best use of his serves to win the set 14-12. In the third set, Koki Niwa won the critical points towards the end to secure the first win for Japan.
Koki Niwa defeated Daniel Gorak 3-0 (11-4, 14-12, 11-9)
Japan started off superbly however the match started to rapidly changed for the power house. In the second match Poland's Robert Floras played the game of his life to level the match score to 1-1.
Robert Floras defeated Seiya Kshikawa 3-2 (5-11, 12,14, 11-9, 11-6, 12-10)
In the third, both teams were tied at 1-1. Another superb win, in fact Poland's Such Bartosz produced a career win over Japan's ever improving Maharu Yoshimura! Such made an epic come back from trailing behind by 2 sets 1 to put Poland 1 match away from a titanic win!
Such Bartosz defeated Maharu Yoshimura 3-2 (9-11, 11-9, 6-11, 11-6,11-5)
In the fourth match of this epic encounter Daniel Gorak redeemed himself as he produced a show that will be noticeable for many years! Daniel defeated Japan's Seiya Kishikawa in 5 epic sets to give Poland the victory!
