    World Team Championships 2012 - Men's Main Draw (Schedule)

    The group stages at the World Team Table Tennis Championships on Wednesday 28th March 2012 were finalised with the main draw commencing today. As expected number 1 seeds China finished top of group a. China's trio of Ma Long, Ma Lin and Xu Xin defeated Slovenia in their last match of the group stages yesterday winning every match 3-0! Slovenia finished 6th in the group.

    Men's Championship Division

    Yesterday the group stage for the men's championship division were completed with the group standings determined and the entry's put foreward into the main draw of the event!

    During the group stages of the men's championships division China, Germany, South Korea and Japan dominated their respective groups. Teams fininshed second and third in the group stages were: Hong Kong, Portugal, Austria, Belarus, Sweden, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, and Poland.

    As China, Germany, South Korea and Japan won their groups they have a direct entry to the quarter final stages of the World Team Championships with the rest of the teams having to compete against one another in the last 16 of the main draw.

    If the seedings go to plan, China will face Korea republic in the semi final with Germany and Japan in the other semi final. Which teams do you think will make the final?

    Poland take on Austria on table 2 at 20:00
    Hong Kong vs Chinese Tapei on table 2 at 14:00
    Singapore vs Belarus on table 1 at 14:00
    Portugal vs Sweden on table 1 at 20:00
