Ma Long & Ryu Seung Min qualify for the London 2012 Olympics!

Today on the 21st April, China's Ma Long and Korea's Ryu Seung Min qualified for the London 2012 Olympic Games at the third day of the Asian Olympic Qualifications.

The first player to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games was Japan's Koki Niwa who defeated World Number 1 Ma Long! Article can be found here. The second player to qualify in the men's category is Leung Chu Yan who defeated Korea's Ryu Seung Min in six sets (11-7, 5-11, 11-9, 12-10, 7-11, and 11-6).

In the women's category Guo Yue, Ri Myong Sun, Seok Ha Jung and Sayaka Hirano all booked a ticket for the London 2012 Olympic showdown!

Ma Long and Ryu Seung Min both booked a place into the London 2012 Olympics in their second attempt of trying. Ma Long defeated India's Kamal Achanta in a demolishing 4 sets with scores 11-9, 11-2, 11-4, and 11-6

2004 Olympic Champion Ryu Seung Min recovered from his earlier loss to Leung Chu Yan and defeated North Korea’s Kim Hyok Bong in six sets (11-6, 4-11, 9-11, 11-4, 11-6, 11-8) to qualify for the London games.
