Kim Hyok Bong knocks out no.6 seed Joo See Hyuk at the London 2012 Olympics!

Today on the 30th July 2012 began the third round of the men's singles at the London 2012 Olympics. A match which had the spectators on the edge of their seats was Korean defender Joo Se Hyuk vs North Korea's Kim Hyok Bong.

Kim Hyok Bong caused the shock of the day so far defeating number 6 seed Joo See Hyuk in the third round at the London 2012 Olympic Games in the ExCeL Arena.

Kim won in six games (11-5, 6-11, 8-11, 11-7, 11-8, 15-13)

Throughout the match Kim was very consistent with his attacks. Very rarely did he miss a forehand attack after 5 balls. If Joo See Hyuk's attacks were not deep, Kim was able to attack fast and win the point. At times Joo top spun the ball with his forehand to try win the point early however Kim Hyok was managing to counter topspin!

The sixth set was where the crowd really got going! At 10-10 Joo saved a second match point after a 50 plus rally! Kim managed to win on match point at 14-13 and celebrated with joy!
