Hao Shuai's first international appearance of 2012 and what a comeback it was! Against all odds, Hao Shuai is this years GAC GROUP 2012 ITTF World Tour Harmony China Open Champion in Suzhou, China.

Number 9 seed of China Hao Shuai defeated compatriot Wang Liqin (no.4 seed) in the final in seven hard fought sets.

Hao Shuai overcome Wang Liqin in seven sets with scores 11-13, 7-11, 12-10, 12-10, 10-12, 11-8, 11-8.

on route to the final of the China Open 2012, Hao Shuai overcome a fascinating amount of players including Germany’s Timo Boll, Vladimir Samsonov of Belarus and his compatriot and number 1 seed for the tournament, Xu Xin.

Hao has not been selected by the China National team in recent times with young players such as Ma Long, Zhang Jike and Xu Xin coming through the ranks. Infact, Hao Shuai's last Men's Singles success was in January 2009 at the Slovenian Open.

Another remarkable fact, this is the first time Hao Shuai has defeated Wang Liqin. Both have met 6 times in their careers.
