Today was the round 3 of the Men's Singles at the Chinese National Championships 2012.

To the crowds surprise there was many unexpected wins and loses. The first of these to take place today was Liu Jikang's defeat over Chen Qi in a thrilling seven set game. Later in the day former Olympic Champion Ma Lin lost to Zhou Yu in a five set battle, this was then shortly followed by Yan an's spectacular defeat over world ranked number 3 player Xu Xin. Two other upsets took place elsewhere with Fan Zhendong defeating 3 x world champion Wang Liqin and Xu Chenhao defeating 3 times Olympic finalist Wang Hao!
However the biggest upset of the day came from Fang Bo's triumphant win over world ranked number 2 and recent world cup winner Ma Long.
