The Chinese Super League 2012 FINALS took place today on the 7th January 2013 with Xu Xin's Shanghai taking on the dominating force of Zhang Jike's Shandong.
After 14 rounds of the Chinese Super League, the semi finals were concluded late in 2012. The semi finals include Shanghao vs Shandong and Ninbo vs Tianjin. The teams will play each other a total of 3 times to secure a place in the finals on the 22nd January 2013.

In an epic battle Wang Liqin convincingly overcome World number 2 Zhang Jike in three straight sets with scores 11:7, 11:9, 11:5. Wang Liqin and Shang Kun went on to loose the doubles, with the new world number 1 saving the day for team Shanghai. Xu Xin the man of the moment being the new world number 1 eliminated both Zhang Jike and Fang Bo in 3 straight sets. These results have put Shanghai in a 3-1 lead over their rivals Shandong in the semi finals of the China Super League 2013!
