Jean-Michel Saive falls at the first hurdle in the 2013 ITTF World Tour Spanish Open

One of the biggest upsets of the 2013 Spanish Open has been Belgium’s Jean-Michel Saive being defeated in the first round.

Saive who was the second seed in the tournament and one of the favourites to take the title was beaten in the first round of the Men’s Singles event of the Spanish Open World Tour 2013 on the 18th January by French player Alexandre Robinot.

The seventeen year old put in a spectacular performance securing a sensational six games win against the experienced player. (11-9, 9-11, 11-5, 14-12, 10-12, 11-8). Looks like the young Frenchman will be following in his older brothers footsteps.
