China’s head coach Liu Guoliang has confirmed the final line up for the upcoming World Table Tennis Championships in Paris in May. Although the line up had already been submitted it was only last weekend at the warm up match in Zhongshan that the head coach confirmed the players which will be attending the tournament in Paris.

Liu Guoliang confirmed “Through the test of the closed training and the warm up match the condition of the players as well as their physical fitness is deemed a relatively normal and so our list will remain unchanged”.
Thus meaning that other than the squad trials winners Ma Long, Xu Xin, Zhang Jike, Yan An and Wang Hao they will be joined in the singles event by Olympic champion Ma Lin and sixteen year old Fan Zhendong.
Liu Guoliang commented “The upcoming 2013 World Championships may well be the last for Ma Lin, over the years people have took note of his determination and hard work. However for the youngest player of the team sixteen year old Fan Zhendong I have much hope, I am hoping that he will grow as an athlete at the World Championships in preparation for the new Olympic cycle”.
