    Li Xiaoxia Is The 2013 World Table Tennis Champion! (VIDEO)

    China’s Li Xiaoxia who was the women’s singles winner at the 2012 London Olympics last summer has been crowned the 2013 Women's Singles World Champion in Paris. Video below.


    Li Xiaoxia had a repeat of the Olympic final in the semi-finals where she was able to defeat team mate and World number one Ding Ning; she was then met in the final by another team mate this time in the form of Liu Shiwen.

    It was an intense final between the two Chinese women; it was extremely close throughout with both players giving their all in all six sets, however Liu Shiwen was unable to gain a good lead in the sixth set, but with the score tied at deuce the eight thousand strong crowd were on pins with the set looking to go either way.


    The Olympic Champion went on to use her fantastic control to seal the match with Liu Shiwen’s backhand going long (11-8, 4-11, 11-7, 12-10, 6-11, 12-10). The Olympic Champion became the new World Champion.

      Exactly i think if the final was Ma long vs Zhang jike it will be another match

      Li XiaoXia is in total control when playing the big tournaments, just like Zhang Jike is.
      They are born to win great tournaments, in contradiction to Zhang Jike, Li XiaoXia did beat all of her strongest opponents (Ding Ning and Liu Shiwen). Where Zhang Jike still didn't face Ma Long in a big final (WTTC/Olympics).
