Twenty four year old Ma Long collected his second ITTF World Tour title of the year on Sunday 16th June when he became the 2013 China Open ITTF World Tour Champion in Changchun.

He was met in the final by his Chinese team mate Wang Hao in the final, a match which was played recently in the 2013 World Table Tennis championships in Paris where Wang Hao was able to defeat Ma Long in three games to one in the semi-finals meaning that the pair have met a record 22 times now in world ranking events.

This time was to be different as Ma Long appeared to be on top form cruising into the final, after defeating Yan An in four straight sets in the semi-finals. Ma Long was seeded at number two for the tournament and Wang Hao was seeded just one place behind him at number three.

Ma Long was able to put in an incredible performance in the final in order to claim victory over Wang Hao in four straight sets (11-8, 11-8, 11-2, 11-8) to claim gold.
