Today on the 27th February Fan Zhnedong defeated Ma Long at the China Trials for WTTTC 2014 advancing to the finals where he will face Xu Xin in an attempt to qualify for the World Team Championships in Tokyo!

In a battle to compete for a spot at this years World Team Table Tennis Championships, Fan Zhendong faced Ma Long in the semi finals. Up to this point Ma Long has won every battle against Fan. However today Fan Zhendong overcome his nemesis defeating world number 1 Ma Long in a five set encounter.
Fan Zhendong defeated Ma Long 11-8, 11-13, 11-9, 3-11, 11-7.
In the other semi final Xu Xin knocked out Wang Hao advancing to the finals where he will face Fan Zhendong.
