Koki Niwa & Kasumi Ishikawa Crowned Champions Of The 2014 Russian Open (VIDEO)

Today on the 9th November the Men's Singles final took place at the Russia Open 2014 - ITTF World Tour in the city of Ekaterinburg! The Men's Singles final saw Japan's Koki Niwa take on England's Paul Drinkhall! Full results and video below.

Koki Niwa and Kasumi Ishikawa crowned champions!

On route to the final, Koki Niwa eliminated Viatcheslav Krivosheev, Zhikang Wu, Liam Pitchford, Tiago Apolonia and Jun Mizutani. In the other half of the draw England's Paul Drinkhall defeated Viacheslav Burov, Kenta Tazoe, Eonrae Cho, Marcos Feitas and Dimitrij Ovtcharov.

Men's Singles Final: Koki Niwa vs Paul Drinkhall


In the women's singles final Japan's Kasumi Ishikawa defeated compatriot Ai Fukuhara in a titanic 7 set match with scores 11-8, 9-11, 5-11, 11-7, 11-3, 11-7, 15-13.
