Borussia Dusseldorf gain advantage over Ochsenhausen in first leg!

Home side Liebherr Ochsenhausen had strong opponents Borussia Dusseldorf in the first leg of the DTTL final. The match was played in Stuttgart.

The match up was a spectacular with fantastic matches going on. The match lasted 2 hours and 47 minutes. Timo Boll's Dusselford side including Christian Suss and Patrick Baum. Ochsenhausen army included Tiago Apolonia, Marcos Freitas and Seiya Kishiwaka.

The first match up was between Ochsenhausen's Tiago Apolonia against Dusseldorf's Christian Suss. The duel was very exciting and the Portuguese star Tiago produced a fantastic display of form beating Suss 3-1, 11-9, 6-11, 12-10, 6-11, 11-4.

The second match up saw superstar Timo Boll play against Ochsenhausen Marcos Freitas. Timo Boll defeated Marcos in a 3-1 win with scores 9-11, 11-7, 12-14, 8-11. Boll's quick top spin play allowed him to dominate the rallys which Marcos found very difficult to control. The overall match score was now levelled at 1-1.

The third match up was very important for Ochsenhausens to maintain their aims. The match was between Seiya Kishikawa and Patrick Baum. Dusselforf's Baum won in a very close 3-2 win with scores 12-10, 4-11, 11-6, 7-11, 9-11. In the fifth set Baum got an early lead at 8-4 and from then on focussed and maintained the progressions to win the last set putting Dusseldorf in a 2-1 lead.

The 4th match up was between Tiago Apolonia vs Timo Boll. It was a very hard task for Tiago to win this match to keep Ochsenhausen in the title winning race. However it was'nt to be and Dusseldorf gain a first leg win as the world number 2 Timo Boll won in a straight 3-0 win. The score line was 11-6, 11-4, 11-6.

Who do you think will win this title? Will Ochsenhausen shine in the 2nd leg? This is the third time in a row these two teams have met with Dusseldolf winning 2 of them.
