My avatar is about the Tibetan antelope or chiru (Pantholops hodgsonii) 藏羚羊 (Pinyin: zàng língyáng), a medium-sized bovid native to the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau. This animal is classified under Class-A protection, the highest class designated by China's nature protection schemes. Even the famous highest railway in the world, Qinghai-Tibetan Railway had its costly construction be adjusted to accommodate this endangered animal and other wildlife there.
