It doesn't make sense for me to have a catalog, I don't have a line of blades, every blade I make is different. All the useful information is on my website (www.sdcttblades.com), but it's not up to date, mainly the "materials" section.
@hipnotic
what does an ayous top ply have to offer versus something like limba.
I recently bought a blade with the 5+2 (composition, ayous spruce carbon fibre- kiri- spruce carbon fibre ayous.) was curious on your thoughts on the composition and how it would play.
Ayous is lighter and softer than limba, so on a top ply, all else being equal, it would offer a lower weight, more flexibility and consequently a higher arc. It would feel softer, and I would expect a lower reaction, especially on higher impact.
I really can't comment on that composition because there are many unknown variables like the total thickness, the thickness of each layer, the type of carbon used and the weight and its distribution.
Wait, something's wrong here 🤔

Zhang Jike is confirmed to return and signed a contract with you? I sure hope I'm not reading too much into this.
The objective was a SDC blade with a Butterfly handle, but we decided to do both.

Light and shade, this is how Jimmy Page describes his playing, it was the inspiration for this blade. The Light side is softer and more forgiving, while the Shade side is crisp and more direct.

Stumbled upon this thread, and it's compelled me to stop lurking and register an account... Man, your blades are beautiful!
I've always wanted to try my hand at making my own, but whenever I think about it, I get stuck on what kind of sealant / finish to use.
Do you use a poly on these? An oil? Any tips would be appreciated!
