Both Women's semis were duds. Both Men's semis were matches for the ages. Amazing tension throughout both matches. Great tactics, execution, and nerves by all 4 players. It's a shame anyone lost either match.
For me, Tokyo Olympics have totally delivered.
ML does look visibly past his prime. I'm predicting FZD 4-1 or 4-2 over ML.

That was so close for both chinese men wow, I did not expect this. Ovtcharov usually has no chance against Ma Long, this is surprising. And LIN Yun-Ju is huge, a pity he lost. But he is the biggest threat for them in the next years imho. (Harimoto stagnated unfortunately with no real progress and isn't good enough)
I was hoping either Lin or Dimi could make it to the final . . . 🤨

Ma Long has gone out of court during a stressful, tight situation for the second time now in the Olympics. he had done it in the 2016 Rio Olympics as well, but can't remember with who against did he play in that match, was it Jun Mizutani,does anyone remember? But he'd gone out of court with his coach Liu Guoliang in 2016 Rio Olympics supposedly for a shirt change but the reason was undoubtedly a lot psychologically deeper than this, as he was so nervous in one of the matches in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
