I actually thought Ma Long’s performance against Dima was of the highest caliber. Impressive, especially in the decider. Still not counting him out.

It's because he struggled with Dima and other players, but I think others may not appreciate how much the rest of the world has improved during the pandemic.

I think the most obvious issue is that he is not defending the backhand down the line well enough against all these players and Fan Zhendong is the best at it.

Is it me, or does this table have weird bounces?

As we can see, Silent Assassin is not so silent. No one would fault him for doing it in a bronze medal match. Not every time he plays his pet teddy bear in competition.

All semi finals and above are top notch. Audience or not. Could have been better with one - maybe.

Pressure got to him it seems, shame but Dima also played very solid all tournament. A well deserved second bronze for Dima! Seems Lin will have a bright future though, this tournament will be a great learning experience.

My prediction was wrong - Dima is a legend in his own right.

Well done, even if Bronze doesn't feel amazing right now for Dima (imagine he wanted that Ma Long win), having more than one of those is testament to being a top tier player the last 13 years~.
