I think skyline 3-60 is a good alternative. Super tacky.
I also have a sheet of H3-50 but it’s super soft and too slow in my opinion. I don’t think boosting it will help much.

Nice topic!
I find myself at a point where I need to improve my tactics and placement as well. At the moment, I vary the placement almost randomly- or at least it’s not a conscious thing for me....
Probably mentioned, but showing up early to get a good warmup is basic but I think very important to get you mentally focused and prepared. I think I read a practice match is good, I would fully...

Looking forward to the pics! Maybe some video of the bounce too? ;)

I got schooled by an older J-pen guy last night. He was jolly, old and certainly less mobile than me, but damn was he deceptive. Great touch and moved me like crazy. He was laughing after every...
Can you send a pic of your grip? A video would also be good to analyze.

It’s cool you have a RPB flat hit! My RPB is quite spinny but I’m working on having more of a drive/hit option also. My feeling is a fast flat Bh hit is tougher to deal with in most situations...
So, my friend who is a Mercury II fanatic told me he believes the S3-60 is easier to control but is faster, where as the Mercs offer more spin, especially under spin pressure. It’s more of a Chinese...
I'll also check out the Shibuya Table Tennis Club. Do you guys know about that one?
I kind of also want to get the Japan Table Tennis club experience. It seems like the Minato Sports Center is...
I’ve tested with both and don’t agree. I think 3-60 offers more spin in my opinion.
I’ll ask some friends who have done the same and report back here.

DHS Hurricane 3-50 is offered in 37 degree.
Another option that I prefer is the DHS Skyline 3-60 which is also offered in 37. (I believe 35, 37 & 39 variants are available).
These two are...
Hello,
I’ll be near Minato City Sports Center late April 2020. Would there still be a possibility for someone to hit with me? :)
I started off with Adidas Samba (indoor soccer) but they were quite heavy and stiff. Then I switched to Mizuno wave drive 8’s and it was a great increase in performance as in lateral grip and...
It’s funny you mention the decision aspect of TPB vs. RPB, that’s been the biggest issue for me as I’ve tried to pick it (TPB) up for those seldom cases my game. The thing is, I’m quite aggressive...
Yinhe/Galaxy Mercury 2?
What about DHS skyline TG3? I’ve never actually used this rubber but I hear it’s softer than skyline 2 and hurricane 3. In general, I think skyline series are a bit softer...
+1 here too, I started off with RPB and only use TBH for lobbing or when messing around.
The only times I really see TBH relevant for my game is in a lobbing situation or a jammed situation...
I sort of have a similar experience but comparing H3 neo provincial to Skyline Neo TG2. TG2 is a bit more controlled on the lower power/passive shots and is definitely a notch slower. H3 always...
I just made the switch and I’m appreciating TG2 over H3 a ton. So much more control in the passive and short game. The aggressive shots and looping has a lower trajectory so I’m clipping the net much...
I thought Rakza 7 was a nice controllable tensor, but I’ve recently been swooned by Nittaku FastArc g-1 which is a tad slower than Rakza but has a bit more spin with my strokes.
I’ll take that...
What does OP mean in this context?

Was the ZZ / MT match not on ITTV? I can’t find it anywhere

Yes, but in 2018 it seems to be listed as just a World Tour. Did it just turn platinum?

I think you guys are also confusing the point distribution depending on the level of the tournament: ITTF world tour (1800 for 1st place) vs. world tour platinum (2250 for 1st place).
Wait... as...
