Whether all this is grippy, tacky, sticky seems to be...
Totally agree.
Etika is not a hybrid rubber as in "China style topsheet meets Tensor/Spring/etc. sponge".
For me it represents what was expected from Japanese rubbers. Enough speed, very good spin,...
They developed the Force Pro further to make her signature blade. If that goes beyond changing the design (for the better) and the handle (looks smaller), who knows. Maybe adjustments...
Watching...
They won the Champions League, becauses the two Russian semi-finalists are suspended.
GEWO: 45 degree sponge, reduced "speed glue effect", plays like a classic rubber like Coppa with just a little extra speed and ease of use added. Still a right bore to play.
VEGA: 42,5 degree...
For those who care, BTY Germany announced limited quantities in their first shipment, and FL handle is already sold out from the pre-orders.
For the general discussion, this is not the perfect example. R42 and R45 not only differ in hardness, but R45 has a significantly different sponge (ENERGY CELL). So your question would probably be...
I haven´t played either Stolz or Rayhe.
Stolz is described as soft-ish (40 to 42 European hardness) and easy to play, while Rayhe is a nominal 45 (but apparantly feels harder).
Made in Germany = ESN. "We" only have this one factory.
As for DERWIND rubbers, Rayhe and Stolz can be bought for 19,90 at one German shop, and they have a new one called Stellar which is a faster...
If you´re a fan of typical Chinese rubbers of course you wouldn´t find these inferior. It´s just that ESN catered better to the needs of most players after the speed ban glue and has established a...
That is correct. DOctor Georg NICklas.
I´m not even sure that except for Butterfly brands ever made their own rubbers.
There are two or three factories in Japan that still manufacture for a few brands, and of course all the Chinese...
Could be, and could be one reason for the muscular problems that made him change the blade in the first place ;)
But the switch to the Primorac Carbon seems to become more permanent than expected....
He said VEGA X.
But even for those what you said seems right, especially the part about the old rubbers.
A new pair of VEGA X should feel like a brand new, super powerful rubber, so my advice...
The approval is for the topsheet only.
However some people argue it is not, since ITTF requires to send in samples with sponge in max thickness.
But, the way I see it, if the whole package was...
I think you have a good point here.
I am now in my 50s, and do not think anymore about what might be. I try things out of curiousity or because I am asked to, but not in the hope for change.
But...
R45 is way more powerful and spinny, plays in a different league, even to almost rival R48.
Hexer Grip is a nice rubber nevertheless.
R45 is no beast no handle, so I would say it gives MORE control...
Samsonov did it also.
Boll varies the hardness of the rubbers.
Some like to adapt, others less or not at all.
At the time when everybody was experimenting a pro player friend told me about the baby oil, but it had to be Johnson´s ;)
I guess nowadays it´s only for the over-curious to do experiments...
Purple Joola makes sense as it fits the new brand appearance.
Green Andro is obvious because of the sponge colour. There will be Rasanter R48, Hexer Grip and Hexer PowerGrip in green.
Also...
Then maybe I really don´t move enough ;)
Or my two pairs are exceptionally good, or yours wasn´t.
Really, my praise comes from conviction. I have one pair in regular use and a spare one I use...
It looks better than many I have seen.
As for table tennis shoes, I can seriously recommend Andro Cross Step.
First, they provide exceptional grip on every surface I am playing on (from wooden...
I guess there is still a problem, or by now less demand.
In Switzerland for example, when they changed to plastic they also had to change from predominant orange balls to white ones from one day...
Yes. And yes ;)
The only rule is that the main part of shirt and shorts/skirt has to be different from the ball colour chosen. So even with white balls, a bit of white "here and there" is acceptable for the...
