1. Make damn sure to have fun.
2. Don’t think too much of if you win or not,
Then there is less risk to hold you back.
3. Winning can come later, there is always a next
tournament.

Exactly, You can tell by the look of the whole bat that it has been stored in less than optimal conditions…

Sure why not? I would get a second bat and dress it with inverted on both sides. Then you can switch back and forth. But remember if you compete, most players hate playing against long pips (at least...
I done woodwork for somewhat 50 years, furniture and boats etc...I sand my blades every time I change rubbers.
Never had a problem. Where I want to take off a lot of material I use a block. To take...
A slow blade is significantly easier to control than a fast blade, everyone who has an ounce of table tennis skill knows this.
Rubbers aren't homogenous in thickness either, so seriously unless You really take off a lot I don't think it matters much...

Equipment can help people to have control... That is the point.
Donic I have no idea, but MXP is closest to Rakza X I believe. Rakza 7 ( my favorite ) is a little bit softer.

Why complicate it, I understood exactly what pingbirdpong meant…
I love my innerforce ALC.S. It has à real strong innerforce effect, BUT unfortunately it has a popsicle handle. Luckily I turned to hipnotic and he made a great all wood blade for me.

A rubber with good spin and spin insensitive is an oxymoron. It doesn't exist. To give good spin it must by law of nature also be sensitive to spin. That is a fact.

Glues do not splinter, the user does. If You rip the rubber of side to side (against the grain) instead ot bottom to top You minimize the risk of splintering.
Another vote for revolution here.

I read pretty much every post here and have read nothing of the kind...
Never heard a single complaint in my 2 years here...
That sounds like a small problem to me. As long as You get the stuff be happy...

You ripped the rubber of the wrong way. Do it side to side, otherwise You will run a bigger risk to tear the wood off...
I want the thinnest layer possible, therefore I never let it dry before...
Also, light will also break down rubber so it’s better to store in a dark place. But regardless I try to use as soon as I obtain it…
But a couple of month should be OK (if it’s boosted I have no...
