    Hello! welcome!
  2. did switching to short pips on bh help your game?

After many years of playing inverted on the BH I tried short pips. In my case, pips on the BH work better. My game has improved, but it's for many reasons. The pips were like a firestarter that enabled other factors to improve a lot and hence: improve my game all around.
  3. which coach is right

These are two different types of topspin shots required in different situations. Here we can see Fang Bo demonstrating the slow spinny loop vs the other which I call the forehand kill shot (they call it the "rip" shot in the video). He is showing this at the 08:08 minute mark.
  4. Film like stuff on dhs neo provincial sponge?

Do you mean this clear stuff on the sponge? Just apply your booster on top of it as usual. It looks like a silicon film, I guess it's there to help protect the sponge. You can scrub it off if you want to spend 10 minutes doing that.
  5. best tt shoe?

Found them at Ping Passion in France, they have the blue version. https://www.ping-passion.com/produit/chaussure-skystrike/
  6. What is this and who makes it?

Yesterday while watching the semi final match on ettu.tv I noticed Alexis inserting his racket into this press that he then started to squeeze by turning on the nobs. First time I see this device but I can guess what it's for.. Does anyone know where this can be found?
  7. Tenergy 05 = most overrated equipment item?

It's all relative. If all your oponents are using the same type of tensor rubber (very hard to control) then it won't matter as everybody will make tons of unforced errors and scores will even out. About T05 --> Depends who you talk to and what the level of play is like. The people I have...

  10. Table tennis setup for high level beginner

I can vouch for Sanwei Echo, it's a good all wood blade. I tried it and imho it's like ALL+ speed so it's good for learning.
  11. Table tennis setup for high level beginner

Neither. The Target National and Target Pro(vincial) are made for advanced players who use chinese style stroke. If you are beginner-intermediate and learn euro style play you can try rakza 7 soft on both sides. it's easy to control, speed is quite ok and you can do anything with it.
  12. Transfer robot practice

If you have no coach to help, the next best thing is to video yourself training with the robot (camera & tripod). Do side view, back and front alternatively. Do short 2-3 minutes sessions of FH repetition then check what it looks like on the video. You will see many things youhad no idea was...
  13. Any attempt to play in an competitive environment ruins this sport for me (rant)

Yes, I saw this similar thing in my old Club. The Club leadership allowed teams to decide themselves who plays in the teams. Then the leadership decided the coach only can decide who plays in which team = instant end of problems.
  14. Which Rubbers suit me?

The Hurricane III without boost will be shockingly slow if you are used to play with Japanese or European rubber.
  15. How to get better at table tennis when you have no one to play with and get competitive?

"I don't need to learn since I have all the basic knowledge of the game, spins, drills, serves, and techniques. What I want is to improve." Well, improving is the same as learning, becasue if you want to play with more rythm, or heavier spin, or faster, you need to adapt your current technique...
  16. Your personal "hatelist" of players

yep, with the ball dropping down, looks to me like he stole that one..
  17. Is Sanwei Target National a good forehand rubber?

The layers were "generous" and the Target reacted mainly with third layer. The first layer did very little, the second was like: meeeh. But the third was the kicker..
