Your style defines the wood and the rubber that would suit it. Some people prefer the Tenergy series while for some the nittku fastarc series work well.
It would be more beneficial if you discussed this with a table tennis coach because coaches are better at analysis.. i took my coach's advice...
One of the issues that some players face when switching to carbon, is the dwell time on top-spin.. especially if you're switching from a 5-ply all wood to the carbon (correct me please if i am wrong, but you switched from 5-ply wood to carbon, correct?)
I am guessing that from 7-ply wood to a...
You might need to update your setup.. plastic balls require bit more effort for the spin-oriented player and over time it takes its toll if you’re using a somewhat slower setup.
That being said, are you getting any sort of coaching? do you make regular videos of your gameplay and do the...
From the ones that i have tried, the evolution mxp and evolution el-s were pretty good in terms of grip when hitting loops/drives.. for backhand i found tenergy 64-fx and the nittaku fastarc p1 worked very well.
As for durability mxp was a bit lacking.. as was el-s, they both started to...
What you have just mentioned is quite interesting. Kind of reminds me of the way i play at times.. i will say this, it is a good thing to be upset at your errors, IF it means you work on your weaknesses or lack of practice thereof. However if you do that on a consistent basis it is not good...
That is a great question.. i like to open up the rally with a heavy loop and depending on the return i go for a flat top spin drive. Usually i do not go for the flat hit right away but sometimes if i get a really easy floater ball i take my chance.
Usually i notice that it is the alternate balls...

i have been using the stiga performa ball recently, having switched from the Joola flash 3 star ball. It almost felt exactly like the old celluloid balls from the get go.. the bounce, the spin and the speed that i was getting from this ball was better than...
i have been using the stiga performa ball recently, having switched from the Joola flash 3 star ball. It almost felt exactly like the old celluloid balls from the get go.. the bounce, the spin and the speed that i was getting from this ball was better than the flash, and i could effectively play...
It depends on your level of play also i suppose.. i usually change rubbers after every 4 months for forehand and about 5 months for the backhand.. with others it is usually different. My ex-coach and current professional player changes forehand rubber after every 3 months and the backhand rubber...
The viscaria is a safe option if you're going for a carbon blade. It is what you can call a 'medium' carbon, not very fast nor very slow.

The Stradivarius is Off in my opinion.. definitely not Off+.
The blade pretty much does it all, loops, counter loops, blocks, short game. If someone is looking for a 'safe composite' blade, the stradivarius is one of those options.
When you're starting a match a player often has the 'butterflies in the stomach' feeling. Once you warm up nicely and start putting your strokes on the table it gets better. Main thing is that you have to trust your gut-feeling, enjoy this beautiful game and make it difficult for your opponent...
