Focus and don't give up.
It might well be that to win you have to be having a good day and they have to be having a bad one, but if you concentrate on every point it will improve your chances.
Play your normal game, if you play defensively the chances are the player with the head start will be more comfortable with this type of strategy and is more likely to get some points, as well as increasing their chances of getting a lucky net or edge due to the longer rallies.
What is the project?
Long pips generally use the opponents spin, rather than generating much spin of their own, but a couple I have tried that have some grip are Sunflex Icebreaker and Hallmark Destroyer.
It might also be worth looking at medium/half-long.
I used to see quite a lot of people using the Liu Shiwen ZLF.
I wonder if the Timo Bol ZLF will increase in popularity as it looks like Xiom have discontinued the Hugo Calderano SAL/HAL
Not quite the same thing, but I once got a Stiga rubber with the wrong LARC number on it - although not one made by ESN: https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/best-brand-over-all.22867/page-6#post-306994
I have also purchased some Nittaku rubbers (again not ESN) from XLNT sports, where...
A lot of people complained when the rebrand from TSP to Victas happend the new versions weren't exactly the same as the ones they were replacing.
I'm not sure how true this was, it could have been psychological or because they were definitely new rubbers that hadn't been sitting on a shelf for a...
I've had numerous custom asymmetric blades.
Whilst you can change the feel of each side slightly the overall speed and stiffness remains the same for both sides, so the difference is subtle.
Whenever I do any shadow practice, I repeat the exercise with my left hand, my form in the mirror is just as good as with my right.
I still can still hardly hit a ball with my left hand...
Technically bamboo is not wood, so following the rules as they are written you could only use 15% bamboo in a blade.
That said it is a natural product and within the spirit of the rules, so I doubt it would be a problem. I think I remember reading years ago that the ITTF treat Cork and Bamboo as...
Thanks, I've tried some DHS ones, but it was a long time ago and I'm not 100% sure they were 3 star.
Also their bi-colour ones are better than you would expect, so the 3 star orange could be a good shout.
Can anyone recommend a decent 3 star orange ball?
I need to get some as we have to play some matches at a venue with walls that are very close to white, but the few I've tried haven't been that great.
Thanks
I didn't use them for long enough to really tell, however the X47.5 is still on my friends blade after 3 or 4 months and looks fine, so I think they are at least as good as other non-hybrid ESN rubbers
