Good point... But i think as a rigth hander you almost need to stomp with your left foot, so you can then move with your right foot into position. and be ready to play a forehand.
Little offtopic again: How much do you usually pay for a 60min trainings lesson? You odnt have to answer, i am just curious.
Because at my place 60 min would be 90 CHf wich are about 100 dollar :(
The coach however would be a former china open quarter final participant. Or his wife :)
Doesn't Wang Liqin use a similar serve.
It seems to my that serves like this are a good way to get into the ready position faster. Or mayhaps to lead the opponent to attack your backhand side, as you end up standing more towards the center.
Edit: I just checked and he is not. However he stomps...
Thanks for all the answers :) now i have a bigger picture in my head. Will try do practise against different people with long serves.
And indeed @Paccheco i have the problem to always step in when the opponent serves to flick or push the ball.
It has become some kind of a habbit and i struggle...
Now you did it. Im watching it again!
Edit: Okay after watching it again. I noticed that his wheigt is more on his heel, to a point where the toes even leave the ground .Atleast when he is attacking long balls.
What do you do against long serves, meaning they only bounce once on your side and are mostly fast?
I have problems agaisnt those, maybe because my trainings partner almost only serves short or half short. And if i tell him he should serve long they aren't what I have problems with, if that...
I really appreciate your help !
So jea i can only play between the 7. and 27. of july as pgpg said.
Any of going to either the LYTTC Open or the NYISC Open? I might catch one of those :)
Little offtopic: What do you guys think of a Video thread where you post a video of yourself playing a match and then have to comment on the video posted previously.
Nice video :) Jea i like that forehand flick. However the problem with that kinda banan forehadn flick is the pace. It can easely be flip killed if the opponent is fast enough.
PS: How much time did you spend to cut the rest out >.< ? We want to see all the mistakes :D<!--?</html-->
I will try it :) But usually i try to play as much as posible. Because i have very limited times for training and its very late in the evening ;-/
I mighth be able to sneak in some basic training in lunch break.
Okay thanks :)
I always try to get some core, leg, back, shoulder and chest training done. But not as much as before when i did not play table tennis. And i can feel that i was alot fitter when i started with table tennis :-/
Then i used to do Muay Thai and alot of strength training. I find...
Great post! The point about children who did basic training and then got recognized as talents... so true.
About the streching... should you do dynamic ones before the training or none at all?
I use my smartphone to film, the quality is fine even tho its alrdy 3 years old.
The only problem is to get a solid stand.
However if your phone dies on you and you still want to record stuff id reccomend you watching some youtube videos on the theme. For example
