  1. Is prott.vip genuine?

Could be. You must work for Butterfly to be so sure. But ok, let's go with that. So then how does this guy running a website in China get his hands on it (bearing in mind that we already know for sure some stuff he sells is fake)? Also I was responding to some guy from UK who said it I had...
  2. Is prott.vip genuine?

I wouldn't know much about a DHS rubber if it appeared on my dinner plate and told me its life history with an Australian accent. But I dont believe about 99% of conspiracy theories I see on TT forums about Btfly stuff, especially about Tenergy 05. Of course I've been wrong about stuff...
  3. Is prott.vip genuine?

I am sure some of what he sells is ok and in the case of DHS it seems they make many variants. I've never played with their rubbers but all the sponge colors etc.. But if someone offers unicorns (from Butterfly) and I buy one I shouldn't be surprised if what I receive turns out to not actually...
  4. Is prott.vip genuine?

Maybe not. I have no way of knowing. The thought has crossed my mind as I wrote that. But in that case what are the odds that a guy who runs some website in China has access to the special rubbers, (which are made in Japan); enough of them that he can sell them online? Or is it more likely...
  5. Is prott.vip genuine?

I actually have (I hit with T05 on the blade of the US champion at the time, who lived in my city, and who I have known since he was a little kid). Also we use the same kind of blade. The result? It played like mine. Be wary of extraordinary claims.
  6. Article: Liu Guoliang on whos better: Jan Ove Waldner or Ma Long!

I know all the issues of comparing across generations, but Ma Long has won more big events and rarely had inexplicable losses. Waldner sometimes lost to weaker players if he wssntvreal motivated. Both had to play against multiple waves of great competitors. And Waldner had more panache.

  8. Nittaku Resoud is 3000 euros!

Even mentioning a blade being sold for that price is a clear violation of Rule 88.
  9. How to clean the bottom side of the inverted rubber?

Dirt around the bottom of the rubber where the brand stamp is is a badge of honor, an indication of the efforts you have made.
  10. Something good for table tennis

Paint the walls a dark color, and get very good lighting, Ideally indirect lighting so there is no glare off the table. Get a good floor, red is a good color.
  11. Nittaku Resoud is 3000 euros!

I stand corrected. Don't know what I was thinking.
  12. Swedish champion beaten by technician-on-duty.

    Unprofessional to say the least.
  13. saying Thank you to your rival

Indeed. Recall that Rule 4 states: you must apologize for nets and edges. A small gesture with your non-playing hand will suffice, but only after the point is over. The same general concept would apply to your opponent's service error should you feel the need to do something, which really you...
  14. Ovtcharov waves Donic bye-bye

Soon. Maybe I wont sell my Donic True Carbon right away.
  15. Table Tennis Shirts for bigger guys.

Donic and Tibhar have some large sizes. Order the largest and you should be ok. Avoid Asian stuff.
  16. Ovtcharov waves Donic bye-bye

    I was wrong.
  17. Ovtcharov waves Donic bye-bye

I'd be surprised if he switches to Btfly.
  18. saying Thank you to your rival

Possibly but let's get real about this. It is obvious when this "thank you" is being polite vs. someone making a lame attempt to "mess with your head". Humans are very good at picking up the many cues that signal the difference, even across cultures. In the latter case it really is moronic...
  19. Any tips on how to stay calm for tournaments?

It's a narrow path and you can fall off either side. You dont want to get passive. But videos of several of your matches can often show you patterns you habitually fall in to that hurt you so you can avoid them.
