VJ 07 Regular is not tacky, it's a controlled attack rubber, more speed oriented than spin oriented. Compared to a Xiom Musa, it's faster, softer and has similar level of grip. And it's 50g uncut.

Victas VJ 07 Regular is very light. I don't consider the Dignics to be fairly light, the 09c is very heavy and the others are heavy.

Mines had the 4 corners cut so I did not weigh them because I could not compare with other rubbers.

What about the Victas Triple Regular? Not as tacky as DHS Neo Hurricane 3, but it has more grip than the VJ>07R and is still light weight (1.8, mm is 51g uncut).

I rather think the opposite: when you play close to the table, thin sponge is harder to control so you don't hit hard and so your LP shots are less effective. If you were to defend far from the table using chops that would be different though.

Yes orange balls are terrible for photo and video, they don't catch enough light.

I would not recommend using sponge for your LP at the table, you will lose too much control even in 0.5 mm, especially in forehand. Why do you think it will help you to adjust?

Even if you only block, push & hit, you may want to inject spin on serves otherwise your LP will be less efficient. LP rubber, like the 2 Korean players: grass dtecs without sponge, in black to avoid transparency issues if your blade has some logo/text painted on LP side.

I hope they can inspire you to find your own style. Regarding your backend, I think it would be better using a backside because in order to benefit from LP spin reversal you must somehow be able to inject spin into the game. With short pips, it'll be more difficult, or maybe use a grippy short...
