  1. Fan Zhendong blade series!!

I think he uses Innerforce ALC. Or he used to, but in pen it looks even more like a TB ALC. 😬 I saw it during superleague matches and I have no idea of the player's name unfortunately. Wang Chun Ting also uses a pen ZJK ALC so I don't get why anyone would fuss over this too much.
  2. Dilemma with cost-benefit on European vs Chinese rubbers

Normally with Rozena or ESN rubbers with similar hardness I try to catch the ball in the rubber and sponge and let them do the work. With H8-80 I tried to do the same but it holds the ball so long and it can stretch a ton so I usually overcooked every shot. Maybe hitting trough the ball would be...
  3. Fan Zhendong blade series!!

Insulting you for this? That is seriously dumb. There are Chinese pros that use TB ALC and not Viscaria. I think I even saw TB ALC in penhold being used before. If I had to spend money I would probably get the Lin Gaoyuan ALC now, since that is the prettiest from them all, but all of these...
  4. Fan Zhendong blade series!!

Aww, come on :) I only saw his early matches from recordings but he seemed like a very respectful and level headed athlete even in his late teens. Also it was obvious he is very talented and not least he was a handsome chap too.
  5. Fan Zhendong blade series!!

Timo's name sells well on every continent, adults like him, children wanna be like him... He has been a BTY contract player for 20+ years, they had time to make a few models. LGY, LYJ are much younger and way less popular.
  6. Fan Zhendong blade series!!

I think Lim Jonghoon switched to it from an Innerforce ALC. Not like it means too much, he's been playing pretty stellar with the previous racket too.
  7. Dilemma with cost-benefit on European vs Chinese rubbers

It's not so obvious to use H8-80 coming off from H3 on backhand. While H3 is rather insensitive and slow, the H8-80 is super sensitive and is quite bouncy. I think it makes the most sense to use it on an innerforce blade, possible like the Ma Long 5. Such blades on BH are quite hard work with a...
  8. Dilemma with cost-benefit on European vs Chinese rubbers

I noticed this too, blue H3 can do some really great things. You just need to plant your feet real hard and smash the ball to oblivion. D09c can kinda do it but I think the sponge on it is too hard, much more difficult to hit down on the wood than with blue H3.
  9. Dilemma with cost-benefit on European vs Chinese rubbers

I think you're on the right track, H8 doesn't bubble up so easily as H3 and H8 doesn't need booster either. If you clean it and always apply a plastic foil on it it can last very long time. Some say that G1 is pretty durable for an ESN rubber (as durable as it gets), and since Gold Arc 5 is also...
  10. Recommendation of Light Weight Rubbers

TIbhar Aurus Select, Rozena, Joola Ryzen CMD... For backhand you probably don't need the 2.3mm sponge so you can go with 2.0 or 2.1mm. And then you are around 45g with Aurus Select and the Rhyzen CMD on a standard Butterfly blade. These are rather cheap rubbers too.
  11. Which rubbers come with the glue-layer on sponge and plastic cover on sponge?

I think there are some Moon Speeds that have the glue layer and some that don't. There are blue sponged version Moon Speed as well, not just the usual orange/red sponged ones.
  12. How often do pros change their equipment

    That would be Yinhe's style.🤡
  13. How often do pros change their equipment

So you see them. They are not straight lines. They are like growth rings on a tree. The sponge looks like it was cut with a circular saw which was my original comment.
  14. How often do pros change their equipment

If you take a more careful look you can see the circular pattern on the red sponge. Doesn't matter that you have never seen something like it, it still exists.
  15. How often do pros change their equipment

I think most glues take the ink off the sponge like that and not just from DHS sponges, also from ESN. That pattern is because of the sponge. DHS cuts the sponge in that pattern. Not in every case, but I think blue sponges and this #80 sponge is like that. I guess they use some circular saw or...
  16. How often do pros change their equipment

Yeah, that is H8-80 for sure. It's funny when I take it off from my racket the glue stays on the wood, not on the sponge. Same happens with him too.
  17. Finger slipping

Why don't you just wipe your palm on the table near the net like every sane person who wants their hands dry and their opponents pissed?
  18. WARNING re. changes at ALIEXPRESS

Yeah, actually I always feel uneasy when I have to specify what I want in a note section. I would prefer to specify it with selecting the proper color and thickness and hardness. Aliexpress and most sellers do a pretty good job with it, same as most well reputed Chinese sellers. Playa Ping Pong...
  19. Best forehand

I think you might be right. He was one of the golden standard of forehand. But I think that tall players with the proper technique can have the nicest looking form. WLQ, Xu Xin, Ryu Seung-min... very hard to make a choice among them.
  20. New enticing upcoming blade

Yes, it's an inner construction. I think the 5x blade itself is 0.1-0.2mm thicker, the core is significantly thicker than normal HL5, and the outer plies are thinner on the HL5x. So in a way yes, the carbon is closer to the surface due to the thinner outer plies. If the pro version is anything...
