  1. Backhand Rubber for Flicks - Fastarc G1 vs other rubbers

I actually like Dragongrip and Hammond Z2 for flicks. They have good grip on soft shots.
  2. A sticky rubber is a bad choice ....

As stated before by Amit. I don't use sticky rubbers and changed to a hybrid because of the slowness. In order to use slow, sticky rubber you have to have good technique and good footwork to get yourself into position to make a full stroke. It's hard to hit a good shot when you are not in...
  3. Anyone tried Victas V>22 yet?

I'm liking the V22 more and more. The grip feels like the ball is locked onto the rubber when I hit it. I've switched my Z2 to the BH. It flicks really well with spin and control. I landed 8/10 flicks during one match. With K3 I would miss a lot more.
  4. ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup-2022

The Iranian Noshad uses a western tennis grip for his forehand. He's definitely ambidextrous.
  5. Hammond Z2

Yes, compared to other rubbers my shots bounce closer to the net and not as deep as others given the same swing speed.
  6. Hammond Z2

I just put my Hammond Z2 max on my Amultart blade. The speed doesn't seem that fast. My opponent remarked that he thinks the penetration on my shots are shorter than the previous Xiom Omega VII I used. I feel the spin is better and control is better but not that fast. I have to play some...
  7. Anyone tried Victas V>22 yet?

Just put my V>22 on my ZJK blade. I really like the rubber. Its got really amazing grip almost like a tacky H3. Speed is med fast with good control. Faster than H3 but not as powerful as Dragon Grip. Throw angle is medium. Don't know about longevity but I hope the performance doesn't drop...
  8. Pan American Table Tennis Championships-2022

How come it looks like Hugo won 3-0?
  9. Using a softer rubber in a cold venue?

Wow, if a club did that here no one would play there! I've noticed that in winter my rubber is a little harder and slightly less grippy. I feel in the summer months my rubber feels much more grippy. However in high humidity it can slip. Therefore your assumption on using softer rubber when...
  10. Anyone tried Victas V>22 yet?

Is it tacky? How high is the throw angle?
  11. Anyone tried Victas V>22 yet?

Saw the new rubber V>22. Sounds interesting. Just wondered if anyone has tried it yet and what the impressions are.
  12. What is the problem with Stiga rubber supply?

So according to the Japan TT website they have Dragongrip in stock. So I put in a big order. Now I get an email telling me they're out of stock and don't know when it will be back. I'm guessing they've been out of stock for awhile now and just didn't bother to update the website. Another...

  14. Players as Coaches

I think Timo would be a great coach. With all his years of experience he would be excellent.
  15. Glossy table tops in Macao ????

a lot of Chinese players lost. Wang Manyu, Cheng Meng, Liang Jinkun. Very unusual. Maybe they don't practice on DHS tables. lol
  16. WTT Champions Macao 2022

I'm curious as to the Germany team missing top players from the team championships just a few weeks ago. Yet, Ovcharoff is playing now.
  17. Glossy table tops in Macao ????

I noticed that as well. I've seen Double Fish tables in person that had a really glossy finish and it was hard to hold spin. I didn't know DHS was the same way. I suppose it doesn't have too much effect on the ball since the players still seem to play normally. However, I would never buy one...
  18. Anyone compare Stiga Dragon Grip to Tibhar K3?

I'm also curious about Hammond Z2 as an alternative but that one seems to be very popular as well and cannot easily find stock at many retailers.
  19. Anyone compare Stiga Dragon Grip to Tibhar K3?

Funny you posted this. I've been looking for alternatives to DG due to it's lack of availability. So I've settled on K3. I've found that K3 has good grip and is almost as fast as DG. However the difference I've noticed is that K3 has a slightly lower throw angle. One positive aspect is that...
  20. What is the problem with Stiga rubber supply?

Yeah, I've tried many different rubbers as well. So far I'm settling on K3 or Xiom Guang as a compromise. It's just very interesting how long it's been out of stock. You would think within 6 months they should be able to replenish some.
