  1. Inside the Handle - Various blades

Yo! I saw a video where you can boil a blade handle to remove it. I tried it on three blades with interesting results: Avalox P500 had a solid handle, but the scales were extremely hollow, making it very head heavy. I wonder if this is why Swedish blades (some Yasaka and Stiga) feel so hollow...
  2. Blade Review: Xiom Hayabusa ZL Pro

It could have been any combination of factors. Balance, weight, handle, etc. I loved looping backspin with this blade, but you did have to put a little more forward energy into it than a Viscaria. That is to be expected with slower blades, but overall you should be able to do any shot using the...
  3. Joola Tronix CMD - Short Review

It's a really good backhand rubber, but it does have a somewhat low throw angle which can take some time to adjust to. It's angle is dissimilar from the Vega Europe or Baracuda, for instance. The spin and speed are amazing though, so once you adjust your control will soar. What are your...
  4. FS: SDC Blade - Similar to OSP Virtuoso Off-

OSP and SDC are both artists in their craft. @SDC has is a gem in the community of custom blade makers. Hats off to all of them! OSP works for some people, but for others who need a little more specifics, or a cool handle, Sergio is the man. Sucks about tariffs to the US, but nothing to be done...
  5. FS: SDC Blade - Similar to OSP Virtuoso Off-

€80 + €14 shipping = €96 PRE tariff era. €96 -> $110 plus ~ $80 for tariff and shipping has also gone up to ~$42. If you were in the US, this same blade could cost you $200 ($96 base price + $42 shipping + $80 tariffs). $100 is a pretty good deal in comparison. I also really wanted that big...
  6. FS: SDC Blade - Similar to OSP Virtuoso Off-

    1) OSP Virtuoso base price = €115, SDC 5 ply blade = €80 2) OSP has established sizes for handles. Varieties yes, but sizes not so much. Custom handle = €36 from OSP. SDC makes whatever handle shape you want as part of the price.
  7. FS: SDC Blade - Similar to OSP Virtuoso Off-

    1) Virtuoso is VERY expensive, especially if you live in the US. SDC was less expensive pre-tariff era. 2) Virtuoso tends to have small handles. I wanted a big one.

  14. US Based Custom Blade Maker

I know someone who ordered from Sergio who paid over $120 USD in tariff and import costs on one blade. Crazy :/ I’ve thought about getting one on vacation, but the timing would be tough as would paying for international travel 😅 I’m not skilled enough to make my own, but maybe one day!

  16. US buying from Dandoy tariff problem

I bought from them not too long ago, and there was no shipping cost from Dandoy, but I was made to pay a $34 by UPS to get it in the country. I use TT11 now because they'll charge $17.50 flat rate for shipping to the US, no hidden costs.
  17. US Based Custom Blade Maker

I am in the USA and with tariffs in place, it is tough to get a custom made blade from overseas. I was looking around for US based blade makers, but haven't seen many. Charlie (blades by Charlie) retired, and Ross Leidy doesn't seem to be very active either. I want a simple but specific all wood...
  18. Joola Tronix CMD - Short Review

I removed the backhand side for Xiom Vega Europe to get a higher arc. The removed Tronix CMD Red was 42 grams cut to a Timo Boll Spirit. Just fyi!
