  1. Joola using different sponges for Red and Black Dynaryz ZGR

Thanks so much for taking care of this. Not a lot of other brands would be willing to publicly respond to something like a QC issue in this way, especially from a random customer and not a club owner, popular reviewer, or top player. The fact you guys have taken steps to correct the problem in...
  2. Joola using different sponges for Red and Black Dynaryz ZGR

Not entirely sure, to be honest. I myself almost wrote it off after the first time I played with it. Coming from RZ, it just seemed too fast and out of control, but once I came back to it and gave myself a chance to adapt, my results improved significantly. Throw in the fact that everyone and...
  3. Joola using different sponges for Red and Black Dynaryz ZGR

The Ryzen and Dynaryz ZGR share a top sheet. Joola says as much in their descriptions, and they play identically in that regard, only difference is the sponge. Both are significantly faster than Rakza Z, the sponges are much harder/bouncier, and the top sheet thinner and more reactive. I haven't...
  4. Joola using different sponges for Red and Black Dynaryz ZGR

Ya lol, I might be the only player that can officially blame their equipment when they hit a bad backhand. Confirmed from the manufacturer themselves, it's clearly an equipment issue, not skill. And ya, I've tried a handful. I have been using Rakza Z on BH (and sometimes FH) for a couple years...
  5. Joola using different sponges for Red and Black Dynaryz ZGR

Alright, contacted both Joola and TT11 support. Joola confirmed that the Red rubber's sponge is incorrect, but told me TT11 must replace it. TT11 has refunded the rubber, rather than ship a potentially identical replacement or have me return a rubber overseas, and I have encouraged them to check...
  6. Rubber recommendations

Perhaps, I haven't played with it in a while so I can't say for sure. I guess it depends on what your definition of easy is. If you just want something that's super fast for a less spin based game, then idk get some Joola Dynaryz ACC or Andro R53 or something. I feel that Rakza Z, due to the...
  7. Rubber recommendations

I'll second Rakza Z for this use case. It requires very little physical effort to reverse backspin on a loop or flick, the combo of tackiness and grip is crazy. It's not the fastest, but it's definitely easy for that type of shot. OP could also look at Victas V20/V22, I found V20 to be a faster...
  8. Joola using different sponges for Red and Black Dynaryz ZGR

Not a bad idea. I also forgot to mention but the black was 1 gram heavier than the red, 78.3 vs 77.2 uncut, although I'm pretty sure that would be within normal sheet-to-sheet variance of any rubber.
  9. Joola using different sponges for Red and Black Dynaryz ZGR

Just received two new sheets of Joola Dynaryz ZGR, and much to my surprise, they are using notably different sponges. As you can see below, the red (left) has much smaller pores than the black (right). The more porous black sponge looks the same as my old black sheet. I purchased both from...
  10. Your Favorite Inner Carbon Blade - SURVEY

The quality on the 301 series for the amount they cost is absolutely nuts. The koto outer layer gives amazing feedback, and the speed/flex rivals blades triple the cost. It's the obvious step up when going to carbon from a 'crispy' wood blade like a stiga clipper or yasaka sweden extra. Very...
  11. Dynaryz ZGR vs Rakza Z Extra Hard

That's why I decided to try the other options. I think the V20 is a good option for a faster Rakza Z alternative, after playing with it more, it's an easy adjustment. The sponge seems quite similar based on appearance, which bodes well for durability, I find Rakza Z lasts for a very long time...
  12. Dynaryz ZGR vs Rakza Z Extra Hard

No, it is definitely tacky. Slightly less so than Rakza Z, but very close, can pick up a ball for a second and sticks to a paper cover sheet. Don't yet know how the tackiness will hold up. It doesn't play as tacky as the Rackza Z, since it is notably faster and there isn't as much dwell time. I...
  13. Dynaryz ZGR vs Rakza Z Extra Hard

ZGR is one of the hardest esn sponges on the market. @Michael Zhuang I'm not trying to dunk on you, but are you sure you weren't just hitting through the top sheet, but not hard enough to get into the sponge? Because of the hardness and tension of the top sheet, you really need to hit hard to...
  14. Andro rasanter c series

I will second what Zwill has said, I don't have experience with the newer 48/53 rubbers, but I have glued a lot of rubber for people over the past few years, and never seen anything shrink like r42 or r50. Never seen anything like it from Donic/Butterfly/Gewo/Yasaka rubbers. Yasaka Rakza Z/X and...
  15. Backhand Rubber suggestions

Sorry not trying to nit-pick - I'm assuming you mean r48 and c48? Or do you prefer r47 to r48? (C47 doesnt exist)
  16. Recommendation of Light Weight Rubbers

I also have used this and like it quite a lot, although IMO without boosting, it's unusable. The topsheet has no tension on it, and feels horribly mushy out of the box. A similar effect might be achievable by stretching the rubber a lot when you glue it.
  17. Backhand Rubber suggestions

If you are open to something with some tack, Rakza Z is a great backhand rubber, especially if you focus on spinning the ball. The harder sponge has speed if you need it, but the top sheet is both very grippy and very tacky, allowing for tons of spin. The hard sponge and tackiness make it...
  18. Recommendation of Light Weight Rubbers

I've found most of the new "Hybrid" style rubbers like Rakza Z, Dignics, Xiom Omega 7 China, Donic Bluegrip C, etc are all very heavy. Rakza Z is on the lighter side and in 2.0 it measured 51g cut for me, although I would give at least a 5 percent error on that, given that I have different...
  19. Nittaku Violin vs Nittaku Violin Inner Carbon

Congrats on your new hobby! Oh and I hope you are enjoying table tennis too lol. I am an intermediate level player, so I will give you a bit of my own advice, but mostly the advice of my coach. In general, most of the advice that players should use slower rubber to slow down a fast carbon blade...
  20. Beginner ALL+/OFF- ~50$ blade with the most potential – yet another blade recommendat

Ya, a lot of the Andro blades are on the newer side, so generally people have less experience with them. I also considered the Gauzy BL5/7, but I was more interested in 5 ply blades and the BL5 is slower than the others I considered, definitely ALL, not ALL+/OFF-. Another point I will make in...
