How cool would this be folks! Just seen this for tennis!

Imagine having this technology at the World Table Tennis Championships, would look awesome!

freeD™ is an innovative replay technology provided by Replay Technologies and Gearhouse Broadcast that delivers optimum angles and the ability to freeze the action at any point whilst rotating 360-degrees on any plane around the court.

calculating the costs and the enormous effort that has to be done, this thing is too huge for table tennis at the moment. Of course it would be really cool

The ITTF is definitely working on a way to do something like this in the future. Stay tuned for more

Totally agree, it must cost huge amounts for this sort of thing. But with technology increasing each year and with things like this becoming cheaper and easier to perfect, it is definitely something to look forward to. Looking forward to what you and ITTF have in store

Too expensive? TT would not need 22 cameras as in that video.
I can see WCPP using this technology as it could also be used for the snooker as it's promoted by the same team.
