Mu Zi is impressive !
I totally agree. Despite not having a ranking, she's a top3-5 player without doubt, IMHO.
All credit to Mathilda Ekholm though. She was the lowest ranked player in the last 16, ranked at 76. Despite that she came out full of positivity and went for it. With a bit of luck she could have had a 2-0 lead. That wasn't to be, but even if she had gotten that, I'm still pretty sure Mu Zi would have come through as she's too experienced and too consistent. Mu Zi's lowest playing level is still too high for Ekholm over a full match. The first two games were great to watch though :)

Mu Zi versus Feng Tianwei was a bit of a slaughter though. She was way too superior and I was quite surprised by that. I had expected a closer match.
Anyway, good work by Mu Zi. Let's see how far she can take it :)

XX is back to G.O.D. mode in Mixed Double with all the tricky shots. As if the lost in the morning to FB has all been forgotten. He must have a great heart. Hope he can continue with all the strength to Men's Double tomorrow. But I bet ZJK don't want to risk injury and jeopardize his Men's Single title like XX did.

Guys are you thinking the same what I'm thinking that Ma Long will meet Zhang Jike in the final? And that this time it would be his last chance for Ma Long to prove that he is in fact worthy the WTTC title and can beat Zhang Jike in the major competition.

The real question is, can Ma Long beat Fan Zhendong? If that matchup happens, that will be the match to watch. Both have a real shot. I believe, regardless of who wins, they will both leave it all on the table going for the win.

By the way, part of why I am saying that, FZD is playing a notch above his regular high level. He gave Koki Niwa 11-2 in the 3rd and 4th games of their match. Koki is pretty darn good to be doing that to. Not that Ma Long isn't playing great. He almost gave JSHook 4-0. But that match between ML and FZD will be a fun one to watch.

Why xuxin pair with korean in mixed double?

Because this WTTC was for Individual World Championships(transnational pairing allowed). Next year 2016 WTTC in Kuala Lumpur it will be a Team World Championships(no transnational pairing allowed):)

how many places for singles match for chinese team in rio 2016?

2. Only 2. Two. Just like in 2012. 2 for singles and one more for the team event. The person who qualified 3rd is only eligible for the team event, not the singles. And the Olympic trials will determine who qualifies for the singles. The players will have to qualify.
