I heard of a rule that each time is only allowed up to 2 National team players, so they can't stack everyone from CNT like Ma Long, ZJK, XX, FZD into a super team.

To answer your questions, I did some digging and found the following:

1. How much does each player earn?

A player's salary is made of three parts:

1) Base Salary

A club will pay a player the base salary based on the player's class which are graded in three levels, including:

a. Super Class: CNY500,000 (before tax)
b. First Class：CNY200,000 (before tax)
c. Second Class: CNY50,000 (before tax)

2) Performance Bonus

Performance Bonus is consisted of two parts which is also graded based on a player's level, including:

a. Play Fee (play in single's or double's game)

Super Level: CNY10,000
First Level: CNY4,000
Second Level: CNY2,000

b. Winning Bonus (win single's or double's game)

Super Level: CNY35,000
First Level: CNY25,000
Second Level:CNY25,000

Performance Bonus = Play Fee*No. of Play + Winning Bonus*No. of Winning Match

3) Seasonal Bonus

A club may pay a player seasonal bonus based on team's final standing and the player's performance as stipulated in the contract between the Player and the Club.

Total Salary = Base Salary + Performance Bonus + Seasonal Bonus

2. How Is a Player Graded?

Players are graded in three levels, i.e. Super Class, First Class, and Second Class

A. Each player will be allotted certain ranking points based on their performance in major international and national tournaments as well as super league

Ranking Points = Super League Ranking Point + Major International Tournament Ranking Point + Major National Tournament Ranking Point

1) Singles or Team Champion in Olympic Games or World Championships = 30 Points

Points good for four years for Olympic Games and two years for World Championships

2) Single's Champion in National Games or National Championships = 10 Points

Points good for four years for National Games and one year for National Championships

3) Super League Ranking Points

a. Rank 1-7 = 60 Points
b. Rank 8-15 = 40 Points
c. Rank 16-20 = 20 Points
d. Rank 21 or lower = 0 Points

At the conclusion of each season, the Super League Organization Committee will grade the players according to the above outlined ranking point allocation criteria. Players ranked 1-7 will be graded as Super Class and players ranked 8 - 18 as First Class. Prior to the player registration for the new season, the Organization Committee will announce the final list of Super Class and First Class players.

3. Is There a Salary Cap?

There may not be a salary cap per se, but I would think the following practice is similar to salary cap.

A club is only allowed to register a maximum of four "Super Class" and "First Class" players (including not Chinese players), among them no more than two "super class" players.

Note: all non Chinese players are graded as "First Class".

I don't have the list for 2015 Super Class and First Class Players yet, following is 2014's list for your reference:

4. How Much Could Zhang Jike Have Earned in 2014?

Maybe the best way to estimate how much each player earns is to use one player as an example, let's say Zhang Jike's earning in 2014.

As a Super Class Player, Zhang Jike's salary in 2014 CTTSL would include:

Base Salary: CNY500,000
Performance Bonus:CNY10,000*31 Play + CNY35,000*24 Winning Match = CNY310,000 + CNY840,000 = CNY1,150,000
Seasonal Bonus: Not disclosed (there are CNY500,000 for the championship team, don't know how the bonus would be divided between club and players. As mentioned earlier, there will be a clause in the contract between the Player and the Club which stipulates the seasonal bonus based on the team's final standing and the player's performance. Luneng was 2014 champion and Zhang Jike was ranked No. 1 in 2014 Super League Men's Ranking. I would say he should be rewarded handsomely last year.)

Zhang Jike's Earning in 2014 = CNY500,000 Base Salary + CNY1,150,000 Performance Bonus + CNY???? Seasonal Bonus = CNY1,650,000+

This is my best guess.
