In this case, I don't know if the visible damage is the issue. I have seen Tenergy rubber that is in way worse shape than any of the photos. And part of what that meant was that the person plays hard.

There are two factors that would really help determine if the rubbers are fakes. If the rubbers were sold at a big discount, that really makes it possible that these are fakes. The reason is Butterfly doesn't offer those kind of discounts. So either the distributor is selling the rubber at a loss, or the really could be fakes. A friend who had a club refused to sell Butterfly products even though people would have bought more stuff. Why did he refuse to sell Butterfly products? Because his profit margin was too small. He made more by selling the stuff he had.

The other factor that would tell if that is real Tenergy is how the rubber played WHEN IT WAS NEW. How that rubber plays now will not tell you much because it is obvious that they have been played to the point where they are finished. You can see the wear on the topsheet and there is too much wear from the ball contact for those to play well. On the red sheet, the wear looks consistent with how a rubber would wear from ball contact. You can see where the player hits the ball on the red sheet. The wear near the logo looks consistent with finger or thumb on rubber.

The wear on the black sheet is harder to gage. It looks like there are areas that are more worn than other places and they don't look like they have much to do with how the player hits the ball. But that could be the result of the lighting.

So, if you got one of those discounted Tenergys from one of those sellers and tested it, so you were testing it when new, you would be able to tell if it was real or not. If it is new, it is discounted 40-50%, and it plays more like Sriver than like Tenergy, than it is fake. If you did that and it was fake, you could contact Butterfly and show them the rubber and what is going on.

That might be worth it for you since these so called "Butterfly Distributors" are in fact impacting your business. The distributors know you though. So send someone who they don't know to buy you a sheet of the discounted Tenergy if you decide to do that.
