FZD is number one man this year with 35 win and 1 lost to Zhang Chao of Luneng. ML has 31 wins and 3 lost all to FZD. FZD has become the new kryptonite of ML.

I'm not too sure anymore after all these super league losses to FZD. maybe ML will have the advantage on the international stage and in a Bo7 instead of 5, not to mention the whacky 7 points in the deciding fifth game, but with all these losses in the super league, I'm still not too sure.

Most teams have only one top player while Ningbo got two which makes all the difference. Yan An is top ten quality and a Hero in the final set to save the day.
So the winner takes home half a million RMB and runner up got $300k.

I believe ML will not have to worry about FZD at the moment as ML only needs one Olympics Gold to achieve his Grand Slam and FZD is probably too young to enter Rio MS next year.

What about Shangdong Luneng ? have 3 ? Fang Bo, Hao Shuai , ZJK ?
On paper Luneng has the strongest team but too bad ZJK was in bad form this year (physical and contract issue) and does not perform much. That left us with Fang Bo and Hao Shuai. Hao Shuai is already near his retirement and only playing his average game. Fang Bo is a disappointment as a WR#8 player and not any better than Hao Shuai. He has only achieve a winning ratio of 57%. Even the fourth man Zhang Chao has more wins and less loss than both HS and FB. Shang Kun has not much to write home about as he only won 36% of his games. Besides the top 4 I still think YA is better than the rest. He just beat FB 4:1 in the recent Japan Open.
