Hey Suga and TTD,

I just spoke with Thomas Keinath on skype to get more details about this pro team. It sounds really cool. I will post our discussion in an interview format shortly:

Dan: How many players do you want in your professional squad?
Thomas: Around 8 to 10 players

Dan: What level do the players need to already be at?
Thomas: 2nd to 5th league in Germany roughly - Semi pro solid players

Dan: What age do you want the players to be?
Thomas: Between 15 and 30 is good

Dan: Who is already in your pro squad?
Thomas: In the squad so far we have players from USA, Trinidad and Tobago, Iran. Panama, Djibouti and Liehauna.

Dan: How much will it cost to take part?
Thomas: 750 euros per month, all players will live in my house like a family.

Dan: What is the overall goal with this pro team?
Thomas: To make professional full time players and some will learn an education in Frankfurt.

Dan: How many hours per day is the practice?
Thomas: 4-6 hours per day

Dan: How much physical fitness will take place?
Thomas: 3 days a week

Dan: Will you attend tournaments and leagues as a team?
Thomas: Yes we will visit tournaments in German together and the European Cup for example.

Dan: You mentioned Timo Boll, will players get to watch him?
Thomas: I practice with Timo Boll and Patrick Baum so yes players watch the training on some occasions.

Dan: What is the secret to your coaching and training?
Thomas: Players are improving better serving and receives. I am very good at teaching timing well, my style is fast and close to the table. Hard, focussed training with serve, receives and drills.

Thanks for your time Thomas!

So there you go guys, some additional information, sounds like a good deal to me!

Does anyone know what rating 2nd to 5th league is? I'm from the US so I'm just familiar with USATT ratings

2nd league is around 2600 to 2700 on average. So professional players. 5th league can vary from 2500 to 2200 depending on which position you player. There are 6 positions on each team and the player in the first position may be 2500 and the player in the 6th position maybe 2100 or 2200.

Nice. Hope you'll have a real good time and learn and improve a lot.

Maybe we can link up while you're here. I stay about a 45 minutes car drive away.
Anyhow... Let us know how things went... Especially if you make it on a team. No matter if 2nd league or 5th league.

Maybe we could! I'm not quite that good, but he gave me permission to come. I'll try to let everyone know how it goes

(Im the player on the far right in the group photo)

Hi everyone! It was great to finally meet Dan and although we only had 3 short days of hanging out and training, I feel like we are great friends! So far I've lived with Thomas for 4 months and still have one more month in Germany. The first night he was here we picked him up from the train station and went to a bar to all introduce ourselves to him and to get to know him a little bit. The next we had training (of course [emoji6]) and we drove to one of our local practice halls which is about a 15 minute car drive and we had our morning practice, ate lunch, and then practiced again all in between we did things such as drills, multiball, as well as Dan recording a lot. The next day we wanted to show him a little bit more of Germany so we spent the afternoon in downtown Hanau, and he then had to unfortunately fly back home. I realized how much Dan really puts into TableTennisDaily and making it exciting and fun for all of the viewers, he works 24/7 day in and day out on it and I have a lot of respect for that. Overall it was a great experience for me and I hope we helped Dan out and I'm glad I met such a great guy!
