What changes in your technique and strategy you have done to adapt to the new plastic ball ? Do you think the ball change has increased the competitiveness between the chinese and the non-chinese players ?

Do you think being a left-handed player brings you a lot of advantage? For a right-handed player at least service returning from a left-handed player's serve feels usually more difficult.

Do you think that there are big technical gaps between you and Ma Long?

Hi Marco, has a portuguese, i don't understand one thing. How can you, Tiago Apolónia, João Monteiro, etc, be so good at tabletennis when most of the kids that want to play the sport in Portugal have so much trouble in even finding clubs to practice? And isn't that frustrating to you if you compare to the infrastructures for learning football, handball, etc?

It is hard to come from a country like Portugal and get to top 10 in the world. You have also improved almost every year in the rankings. What kinds of special experiences/insights have you had that have helped you get to a high level and continue to improve? What would you have done differently could you do it all over again?

    A few more:

    1) Once during commentating one of your matches Adam Bobrow called you the "Freight train". Is it your real nickname?
    2) Do you have plans to play in the Chinese Super League, like Ovtcharov and Boll did?
    3) Do you think that is crucial for the top European players to practice together most of the time to catch up with the Chinese? Does Werner Schlager Academy do a good job in concentrating the top players together?

Marcos, although you have shown tremendous improvement over the past two years and put up a good fight against the chinese, it seems that they find it rather easy to get you off balance or destroy your footwork patterns backing you off the table. Is it because they have trained for years in the fundamentals of footwork? Or maybe they have figured your style of play? What would you do if you were a coach and asked to implement a long term plan to beat the chinese?
I suck real bad so I train to suck less

In order to defeat the chinese, what do you think is a skill or "must have" every player needs?

What do you currently use now? You played with Ma Long in the WT Grand Finals
Have you seen his equipment? Do you think that the equipment has something to do with the
    dominance of the chinese players?

What is your opinion about professional players being sponsored by one company and using equipment from another?

Some people on the TT forums consider some of his serves illegal. I would like to hear his thoughts about that, whether he thinks illegal serves are a problem (at his level) and what he thinks about other players with alleged illegal serves like Fegerl, Gerell, Mizutani, Yoshimura, etc.

Which players serves does he have the most trouble with? Admire most?

Should the ITTF do more to enforce the hidden serve rule, change the rule to make it easier to enforce, get rid of the rule, or does he like it the way it is?

There are many rumors about Tenergy 05 professional version. My friend saw you at WSA while you were choosing T05 in a shop, what was the important factor, was it the weight? And is it regular t05 or some kind of pro?

Playing against pimples in modern era

    Dear Marcos

Recently this year, you won against Tang Peng, who has a great season, and who is probably only one left with ancient short pips on backhand on shakehand grip. What is your prediction on the future of pimple players, speaking in top rankings of course, and by the way did you manage to see what equipment did Tang Peng use against you? Best regards, and good luck with your career!

    Hello Marcos

Table tennis in Portugal has a very slow progress, kindly share a brief story on how you started, development like ups and downs before you reach your current status now as a pro, and when do you plan lay down your racket and tell the world.." i made it this far".
