Yep, Per Gerell just had a bit of a scare against Ghosh. He was up 3-0, dropped it to 3-3 before he managed to bring it home in the last.

Unfortunately Pitchford just lost to Li Ping 2-4.

My dark horse for the women's title, Liu Gaoyang, is looking good. I think she'll be the future star of the women's CNT. She looked great as a junior and now she's maturing very well as a senior. With a bit of luck she'll end up in the final, perhaps against Mu Zi which may be a bit of a tough ask, but here's to hoping.

She's got great natural, fluid movement both when it comes to footwork and her strokes. She doesn't look rushed, always relaxed and generates great power. In a way she reminds me of Samsonov. His strokes look far to relaxed to produce proper pace, but his balls sure do move! Almost supernatural timing and connection by both of them

Yeah I saw, England's Paul Drinkhall also lost 4-0 to Chen Weixing, close sets as shown by @Tinykin

This event is so strong, some of these matches in the pre rounds could be World Tour finals!

Anybody knows why ittf camera is so high? This is the second tournamnet after Hungary Open. It is horrible to watch. You cannot know in fast rallies if the ball landed or not.

JG has played a very good season for his German team in TTC RhönSprudel Maberzell, but I am sorry to say that seeing him play against ML just made him look like a very low rated player which he isn't.
