I'm not sure I understand? This is a brand new h3n that I haven't glued on to a bat yet. (I used a pen to trace the outline of the bat on the sponge , cut it, and applied two layers of baby oil.)

I'd like to believe it is a layer of "boost" that comes from factory. I ordered 3 H3N Sheets and they all came like that, in the package.

I suspected it may be how to sponge is reacting to the factory boost layer (plus mine, possibly uneven absorption?). Did you try the H3N? did it create any imbalance in feel when hitting the ball? Did the ball react a little more erratically, or did it have zero effect on play? If it is the latter, then I'm not concerned.
