Need help fixing forehand technique

i find the arc happens naturally when you snap your elbow even if you try to keep your stroke in a straight line. and that's how it should be. my principle is always the simpler the better, so i teach my students to keep it straight but perform what is necessary to make the ball arc (get both the angle of the stroke and the angle of the bat right, use power from the legs, use the elbow snap etc.).

when people try to arc their stroke over the ball they usually lift their elbow which results in a bad contact.
